Drug Overdose Treatment While Traveling

If you suspect a drug overdose, act immediately.  Call for emergency services before your heart stops, or you’re incapacitated and can’t move.

If the person is awake, keep them conscious by walking around with them.  You can also place them under a cold shower to wake them up, just keep the water away from their mouth and nose so they can breathe.

Don’t allow a person to fall asleep and if they do wake them up or their heart can stop, and they’ll stop breathing.

If the person is unconscious, lay them on their side so if they vomit they won’t aspirate, choke, and die.

Avoid drug use.  If you decide not to, then try small doses if you’re a first time user.

It’s not the most effective, but you can try drinking milk if the person is conscious.  The calcium in the milk will bind with the drugs and negate some of their effects.
